My name is Kim Mackanic and I’ve provided therapeutic services for trauma survivors and individuals facing mental health and addiction issues since 2009. I am also an Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant. My hope is to create a space that feels safe for you to explore your past, present, and future. "Healing Reimagined" means exploring our curiosity about healing as individuals and as a community. It is about hope and possibility, as much as it is about honoring our pain. Taking an intersectional approach, we explore all of the pieces of who you are.
Each part of your identity (race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and more) impacts how you experience the world and how the world responds to you. Using a social justice framework, we can begin to understand how we got here, how to create and advocate for change, and how to imagine a more equitable future.
Additionally, I am certified to provide Clinical Supervision for LSW's and EMDR Consultation for therapists who've completed the basic training. I strive to integrate anti-racist practice and policy in all of my work.
