Hello, thank you for visiting my page. My name is Susan Hea Jin Ko, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my B.S. Psychology from Syracuse University and M.S. MFT from University of Southern California (USC). I specialize in working with Anxiety, Depression, and Life Stressors. I am a bilingual therapist (able to provide therapy in Korean and English). I attended and received many trainings in Anxiety and Depression Disorders and am comfortable treating those diagnoses in a professional way.
I provide open, safe, and comfortable space for all my clients. I am gentle yet firm, and straight-forward with my approach and during the session. I am energetic and able to be empathetic to make you feel non-judged and comfortable to share the difficulties.
I involve my clients when I am building/ setting goals. I always respect and ask client's expectations and wishes to be in therapy and brainstorm the best ways we can approach the goals in therapy. Goals can always be achieved or changed at any time. I check in with my clients on their progress to see if we are meeting the goals in sessions.
