My clients come to session either ready or with the desire to show up for themselves. They are open to learn and grow into their authentic selves. The majority of my clients have experienced traumatic events and come to me with feelings of anxiety/depression. Many are ready to learn to navigate stress, life transitions, and struggles within their relationships with others and themselves. I work within the LGBTQIA+ community and provide an open and inclusive space to help ensure feelings of acceptance, safety, and affirmation. As a member of the community, I know the need and importance of this safe space.
I believe that everyone is the professional of their own life. I am here to be a guide. At times I may offer perspectives, or just hold space while you feel your emotions and process your experiences. I work from an existentialism, gestalt, and person-centered mindset. I use the present moment, metaphors, and humor to help comprehend and process hard topics.
Starting the process of looking for a therapist can sometimes be overwhelming and daunting. I hope to make the process smooth and simple. I am passionate about providing a safe, validating, non-judgmental, and empathic environment for you to be able to fully engage in an ethical and healing therapeutic process.
