I have developed a great appreciation and admiration for how messy, confusing, challenging and fulfilling our connections with others can be. Collaborative curiosity leads my work with partners as we navigate the reasons they have for seeking a therapeutic space. An emotion-focused approach compliments my psychodynamic lens by teasing out the "details" from the more prominent patterns at play in each individual and within the relationship. Whether we are discussing daily conflict or the delicate nature of boundary violations (affairs, addictions, etc.), I encourage curiosity and accountability over blame in my work with partners.
I passionately work with LGBTQ+ populations and concerns within relational systems. My door is also enthusiastically open to the umbrella of nonmonogamous relationships and am comfortable with kink-related topics. I pull from a somatic informed approach that incorporates the intuitive wisdom of our bodies and nervous systems as a guide in relational work.
My deep curiosity about the human experience combined with radical open mindedness offers me the opportunity to be fiercely present in each session. The sacred connection between clients and therapist is vital to therapeutic work and a critical aspect of my practice. My style is direct and typically casual over clinical.
