My interest in therapy and the helping field in general was largely shaped by my own experiences with mental health, which began in childhood. I credit the life I've been able to build for myself to access to treatment and appropriate interventions. As a Jewish person, I understand the importance of being true to yourself and connected to a community, and I strive to help others work towards finding their identity and place in this world.
Early on in my career I worked as a care coordinator, working with clients in the community to help them manage their mental and physical health and then in Assertive Community Treatment, providing therapy to high risk clients. Currently, I specialize working with trauma and personality disorders.
My approach is hands on and more direct than most clinicians. I work to help my clients learn skills to regulate their emotions and later process traumatic memories in healthy ways.
