About
I have practiced as a licensed counselor for 6 years in out-patient settings, community outreach case management programs, hospitals, and high schools. I have 4 years of experience working as a mobile crisis counselor and a psychiatric emergency room clinician where I completed intakes and assessments to determine treatment outcome. I dedicated much of my skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and prevention, for individuals of all ages and all diagnoses.
I specialize in treating individuals with mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and substance use disorders. I assist with career development, decision making, stress management, anger management, social skills, effective communication skills, self-care, spirituality, and providing psycho-education.
I believe mental health wellness is a proactive process of balancing needs. All individuals have the capacity to develop inner strengths, effective coping skills, advantages at completing goals, heightened self-esteems, and sense of control in their lives. I personally take pride in practicing self-care and modeling positive behaviors on my spare time.
