Sometimes it's hard getting out of bed, eating a meal or maybe overeating, going to sleep or maybe sleeping too much, it happens to 1 in 5 people, these are common symptoms of depression. Did you know that many people who have depression also have anxiety? Is it hard to stay focused on tasks? Is worry common every day to you? Do you feel out of control when you can't control? More than 40 million people in the US, age 18 and older, suffer from anxiety, but only a few ask for help to this highly treatable condition. None of us are perfect, my approach is one of encouragement and empowerment to live life to the fullest potential.
I offer Christian counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, grief counseling and dialectical therapy in a non-judgmental, warm environment. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) from Roy Kiessling, and have an interest in utilizing this technique when clinically appropriate.
