Most of my clients come to me with initial concerns of anxiety, depression and relationship turmoil. But at the core, the issues so often relate to the client's negative self-esteem, guilt and a persistent sense of not living up to one's potential. What I establish in the very first session is that here, within the safety of our therapeutic relationship, the client will find the strength to explore these negative feelings. My clients find me empathic, insightful, safe and deeply present.

As a primary clinician at Ocean State Recovery, I have a strong passion for working with individuals struggling with substance use disorder and mental health issues. These are not issues to be embarrassed or ashamed of and are quite common. With the right support and treatment plan, I assist patients to overcome these issues and live a fuller life without addiction. Vivian Ng is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Rhode Island with over 10 years of experience working with children, adults, and families in community and school-based settings. She approaches her clients with an eagerness to listen and learn their stories. I have over Twenty years of experience in the human service field, and have been a licensed therapist for almost fifteen years. My diverse background ranges from adolescents, adults, couples and group counseling. I have extensive experience helping to treat symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Mood Disorders and other various symptoms. It is my belief that individuals can and want to continue to grow in their lives. Counseling is about creating a supportive environment to make this happen. As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Grace has clinical experience ranging from providing direct care in a psychiatric children’s hospital, and working directly with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Grace also has experience in community-based services facilitating family therapy and parenting groups. She prefers to work with a wide array of clients whether it be age or clinical need.
