I work with children and families struggling with emotional concerns - age 6+, and with preteens, teenagers, young adults and adults. I have experience working with PANDAS, OCD & tics, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD. I specialize in the areas of Trauma, Sexual abuse, Dissociative Disorders, Depression, Phobias and short term crisis resolution. I help my clients by utilizing EMDR, TF-CBT or CBT approach to develop effective coping skills to increase personal functioning and resilience, and release past learned maladaptive behaviors/phobias that may be causing dysfunction in their present life.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from different cultural backgrounds. My style is active, interactive, and engaging. My clients come with anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, past trauma, and relationship-related issues.

Through our time together, my goal is to aid clients in developing self-awareness, uncovering their innate potential and leading their lives with self-compassion. I have experience in working with teenagers, adults, immigrants, people of color, college students and athletes. I lead with a person-first approach and partner with clients to hone tools and resources that can support them as they navigate the emotional disruption of life challenges.

My approach is client –centric, empathetic, holistic and non-judgmental. I use a relational framework as well as down to earth psychotherapy techniques tailored to each client. Having counseled people since 1999, I have been trained in various techniques over the past decade & have the flexibility to choose the best therapeutic techniques. I frequently use CBT (Trauma Focused CBT), DBT, Interpersonal & Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Feminist Theory to assist clients.
