I believe counseling is a collaborative effort between therapist and client. Everyone's situation is unique, and, as such, I do not provide a "cookie cutter" approach to treatment. I have 30+ years of experience with issues of oppression, trauma, sexuality, family of origin and relationship problems. I also have extensive experience working with families struggling to find the right supports for their children. After a careful evaluation of your situation, together, we will develop a treatment plan and decide together how to proceed. I am also fluent in American Sign Language and have training in multi-cultural issues.

Unfortunately, I am not accepting new clients at this time. It takes a lot of courage and commitment to look for a therapist for your family or your child, so first of all, it is wonderful you have gotten this far. The families and children I see are resilient and wanting things to improve, which means different things to each of them, and I'm here to help figure out how to do that. I aim to do the same with you, to work collaboratively with you and your child/family to find out what would really work at home and in your everyday lives.

I exclusively devote my practice to the Deaf community, focusing on identifying and responding to the unique needs of Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, and late-deafened individuals; members of the cochlear implant community; and their families.

At Inclusive Perspectives Counseling (formerly Kristin Bowles and Assoc.), we offer mental health services for children, adolescents, couples, families, and adults. We provide these services from trained therapists, social workers and mental health counselors with a wide array of expertise and therapeutic approaches. Our therapists provide psychotherapy, crisis counseling, maternal health and wellness counseling for those in need of social, emotional, and behavioral support. I am a therapist with a passion for guiding individuals through their unique mental health journeys. My approach is rooted in a deep respect for the diverse challenges we each face in our lives. I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and symptoms of PTSD. My clients come from all walks of life, I have specific interests in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, those experiencing moral injury, and discovering how spirituality/faith contributes to psychological well-being.

My practice has a focus on individuals with Chronic Health Conditions, Depression, Anxiety, and Addictions. Also work with families and caregivers of individuals with chronic health problems, dementia, addictions, mental illness and developmental/ intellectual challenges. I have some ability to converse in ASL, though my proficiency has decreased over time. I work a hybrid schedule, both in person and virtually.
