I am a seasoned counselor with more than 20 years of experience in providing support to individuals, couples, and families. My background includes being a hospital and Navy chaplain, a husband and father of adult children. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, incorporating mind, body, and spirit into your journey. I can help you learn new skills to handle difficult thoughts and feelings more effectively and prioritize who and what matters to you to help you achieve how you want to live your life. I primarily utilize ACT and Family Systems Therapy to help others achieve greater peace, purpose, and well-being.
I typically work with young adult males struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and pornography addiction. I have extensive experience working with grief and loss as well. Increasingly, I am learning more about how to effectively help those who have experienced trauma.
As a therapist, I like to create a warm, personal style that enables one to feel safe to share their most painful and vulnerable feelings. I want the client to feel supported and that you have my full attention; there is no one more important than you during our session.
