My counseling style is person-centered. I work with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties. I also work with parents and caregivers of transgender/gender-diverse kids/adults. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for my clients to talk about their thoughts and feelings. I believe the relationship between myself and my clients is the key to a successful counseling experience.
I listen to my clients with genuine positive regard and assist them in finding coping strategies, making decisions, learning more about themselves, and gaining new perspectives. Some clients have told me they can talk to different people in their lives about different issues, but can talk to me about everything.
