I believe that generational trauma, attachment style, family upbringing, intersectionality and cultural conditioning all influence how we experience the world. It is up to us to identify and unlearn maladaptive patterns of behavior. My goal is to help you feel connected to yourself and others through increased self-awareness. Most of my professional experience has been working with individual kids, adolescents and adults on problems related to self-esteem, stress, anxiety, relationships, trauma, identity development, among other things.
I practice anti-oppressive therapy. My general approach when working with individuals is building rapport and creating a safe space that is conducive to growth. I use various therapeutic approaches, including CBT,DBT, SBFT, holistic practices and somatic techniques to address each client’s needs.
I identify as a bilingual, Spanish-speaking, bicultural, first generation, queer Xicana. I am accepting clients who reside in the state of Colorado and am currently only available for telehealth sessions. I look forward to working with you.
