I specialize in working with children and teens ( 3+) from a holistic perspective and integrate Play therapy & Art . May be your child is struggling with anxiety &depression, and you are unsure how to help them? You may have noticed your child struggling with self regulation, high anxiety, sadness, anger issues, ADHD. May be you are a parent who is overwhelmed and wants to parent mindfully.
I strongly believes that every child has innate strengths of their own to cope with difficulties. These strengths become less dominant when a child internalizes a negative experience. Children feel safe when they communicate through play.
As a child and family counselor, i help parents and children/teens develop insights and identify the root cause of the problem. Children and teens learn social skills, gain academic excellence, foster self-esteem, learn mindfulness based relaxation tools to cope with feelings and identify strengths to problem solve difficulties.
My Holistic approach incorporates a Mind + Body therapy that heals the person as a whole, rather than treatment at a symptomatic level. I use Mindfulness based stress reduction, ACT, CBT, DBT and guided meditation to help women accomplish their goals & primarily play therapy, art therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, , yoga with children.

Parent Mentoring - CPRT classes (10 sessions)
CPRT - Child Parent Relationship Training is a model of filial therapy founded upon the child-centered play therapy philosophy. It is an evidence-based parent-training intervention for treating children experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Child Centered Play therapy has been shown to be an effective intervention with children for a variety of behavioral and emotional difficulties. In this training motivated parents are coached to be effective as play therapists using play therapy skills with their own children.
