I specialize in treatment of adults and adolescents with trauma, mental health and substance use disorders. I provide patients with a warm, accepting, non-judgmental atmosphere in which to share their concerns, receive helpful feedback and work together toward change. My approach to treatment combines cognitive-behavioral, family systems and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) treatment models.
I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling-Psychology from Trinity International University. I have been providing care to residents of West Michigan since 1999, having worked at Pathways, MI (formerly Child and Family Services of Western MI), Pine Rest, and Muskegon Family Court.
I work in conjunction with our family practice and psychiatric providers to provide integrated medical and behavioral healthcare for a wide variety of problems. Our psychiatric providers offer genetic testing in order to identify the medications most likely to be effective with their patients.
