We can meet once or twice (or more) to explore your areas of struggle, as well as the positive things about your life (you’re more than just your problems). We’d also take some time to clarify what you’re hoping to achieve, and if I can assist - given my background, expertise, and manner. Per the research, a good fit is so important for a successful psychotherapy or counseling outcome. If we agree to work together, we'd typically arrange weekly sessions for a period of time.
It’s impossible to be human and not suffer. I view depression and anxiety as universal for most people at one time or another, in contrast to an “illness” in the conventional sense. I won’t view or treat you as a “sick” person regardless of what your current or previous diagnoses have been. You’re a human being who’s struggling. Welcome to the human race.
Initially trained in psychoanalysis, my practice has evolved significantly and has become more integrative and holistic. It’s an honor for me to witness the suffering and joys of my clients and to have a role in their improved adaptation. Outside my practice, I enjoy family & friends, bicycling, nature, playing guitar, and performing as a singer-songwriter.
