I also specialize in supporting older adults, drawing from over 20 years of experience as a social worker working closely with this population. Older clients may face isolation, grief, or difficulties adapting to changes in family dynamics and lifestyle. I understand that taking the first step toward seeking help can feel overwhelming, especially in a new cultural environment where mental health care may carry stigma. I want my clients to know they are not alone—I am here to listen and walk alongside them.
I offer a culturally and linguistically sensitive space where clients can feel safe and understood. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bowen Family Systems Therapy, and other strengths-based and relational approaches, adapting them to meet each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
As an immigrant myself, I can deeply relate to my clients' experiences of cultural transition and identity challenges. Beyond my professional role, I am also a mother of two sons in their 10s and 20s, and a caregiver for my parents, who are in their 80s. These personal experiences allow me to empathize with the complexities of immigrant family life.
