Our mind and bodies are always on alert and are trying to protect us. Sometimes they do not do it in the best way. I know how daunting it can be to find good support. I have experience with trauma in individuals from adolescence to late adulthood. I believe that trauma looks and feels different to every person. Two people experiencing the same thing, will have different outlooks and perspectives. A traumatic event takes many for and I want to help you pick up on where your thoughts, feelings and behaviors come from.
One of my top priorities is to create a space where you feel safe to speak on any thought or struggle. It's not an easy thing to come to therapy and speak to someone who is essentially a stranger and share the heavy feelings we all keep inside. I want you to feel heard and understood while still feeling encouraged to reflect and change.
