I am passionate about what I do because I have been in your shoes. Going to therapy and talking to someone about our issues can be scary, and I am here to tell you that it does not have to be! In my time of being a therapist, I have found that many people struggle with a mental health issue and may not even know it. My goal through therapy is not to provide you with the answers, but to help you navigate them yourself. That way we can get you to a place of self-compassion, self-love, and empowerment.
My approach to setting goals is sitting down with you to discuss what you would like to get the most out of therapy. I will ask you questions about what has worked in the past versus what has not. I have had the greatest pleasure of working as a first responder therapist and helping them navigate their own trauma. This has quickly become a passion of mine.
The environment that I create for my clients is calm, inviting and warm. I do my best to make you feel like you can be your most authentic self when we are together. At times, I like to use humor, which I have found to make sessions more personable and relatable. When we are in session, you are in a judgment-free and safe space.
