I have a holistic perspective and consider how a client's early years, traumatic experiences, family systems, and culture impact their current life.
I have a special interest in working with clients who were part of high-demand religious or family groups or who otherwise experienced religious trauma. I understand how multi-faceted and far-reaching the impact of religious transition can be. However, I have clients across the spectrum of religiosity, and I try to support people where they are.
Trauma and high-demand systems often lead to a disconnection within oneself. During therapy, I help clients reconnect with themselves by working with the mind-body connection in the present moment. Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry approach influences my work. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
