Is your child exhibiting behaviors that seem irrational and self-destructive? Do you feel like no one understands what you're going through as a parent? Through personal and professional experience, I have developed a passion for working with children who have experienced complex developmental and relational traumas, and the constellation of diagnoses that can follow these (ADHD, ODD, RAD, Bi-polar disorder, Substance Use, Anxiety/Depression, Identity issues, etc.) I am equally passionate about working along side you, the parent, to offer hope, encouragement, and the resources to become an expert on your own child's life.
Children who have experienced chronic trauma are often left with behavioral, emotional, and relational challenges. When treated at the core of their injury (relational trauma), they can experience healing and change. It is my goal to give every client I see the opportunity to experience this healing in their own lives.
I am a TBRI Practitioner and a TBRI Educator, having participated in Texas Christian University's "Trust Based Relational Intervention" practitioner and educator trainings. I use a variety of intervention strategies targeted to meet the unique needs of my clients. These include play therapy, mindfulness, ART, and narrative approaches.
