In my practice, it is my utmost goal that clients feel safe and heard. I strive to accomplish this by creating a counseling atmosphere that is accepting and empathetic. I approach counseling from a person-centered orientation, which means that our sessions are geared towards your wants, needs, and goals. I work to tailor our sessions uniquely for you. In addition, I take a holistic and compassionate approach, considering how our identities and experiences shape our lives and perspectives. Our collaboration can increase self-awareness, challenge negative beliefs and actions, and develop appropriate coping strategies.
My experience as a Mental Health Counselor has allowed me the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life. In addition to having a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I also have a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Clinical Art Therapy, and will implement creativity into my practice when appropriate.
Although taking the first step and being vulnerable can sometimes be uncomfortable, my goal is to provide unconditional support and a safe place to express yourself without fear of being judged. Through our work together, it is my hope that you uncover your power and use it to achieve your goals.
