Psychotherapy is beneficial to all individuals - those experiencing low levels of emotional discomfort and those who experience more severe, chronic distress. My personal style is warm and empathic with gentle humor, while also being solution-focused. I operate mainly from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) background, and I incorporate strategies from other approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
My goal is to help clients understand and cope with their mental health concerns by guiding them through the cognitive model. I aim to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, which can lead to unpleasant feelings and behavioral reactions. Overall, I hope to provide a supportive, healing atmosphere to all clients.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also perform various psychological evaluations (i.e., intelligence, achievement, ADHD, learning disability, personality evaluations).
