Welcome! I enjoy working with people of all cultures and backgrounds. I have experience working with adults through childhood trauma, sexual trauma, grief and loss, those who have been victims of crime, depression, anxiety, cultural identity, perfectionism, and shame. I love working with folks to reduce shame, symptoms of anxiety and depression, process trauma, and anything else that keeps you from experiencing life the way you want. Additionally, I have a special place in my heart for working with folks during their perinatal journey through infertility, pregnancy, perinatal loss, post-partum struggles, and 3rd party reproduction.
I am strong believer that therapy is best done at your pace, allowing for autonomy, and making room for all emotions, thoughts, and bodily responses that may come up. I am passionate about providing a warm, friendly, gentle, sometimes humorous, and non-judgmental space filled with empathy for you to explore whatever you would like.
I approach counseling from a trauma-informed lens, using techniques from theories such as: Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Relational-Cultural, Somatic Experiencing, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Cognitive Processing to ease the difficult but rewarding process that is therapy.
