Trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles-and the symptoms that come with these-tend to impact so many aspects of our lives. It's when those symptoms go into overdrive that we begin to feel lost and isolated, and that ends up affecting how we are and how we act in the world. When our fears, secrets, and distress build up over time and we have no outlet to let them out and begin to face them, those feelings become overwhelming and eventually, leave us feeling isolated, fed up, anxious, and drained. You are not alone!
I believe it's my job to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and open space for you to bring your struggles and fears in so that we can begin to piece them apart, understand them, challenge them, and change them together. I use directive counseling techniques and employ skills from several approaches, including CBT, Systems, Somatic, and Emotion-Focused.
I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with complex PTSD, relationship issues, life event stressors, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also offer and specialize in EMDR services. I practice out of primarily Frisco, with limited Corinth availability.
