I believe people are adaptive—that we do the best with the tools that we have. Whatever brings you to therapy likely reflects a way of being that once served you, or a strategy that helped you survive. This is one reason change can feel so difficult: we hold on to what has worked. I’m here to help you find compassion for those old strategies, understand their function, and imagine new ways of being. Together, we will cultivate an atmosphere where taking risks feels possible within the security of an honest, supportive, and warm therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is active, curious, and attuned.
If you're seeking support around identity, trauma, anxiety and depression, relational challenges, self-esteem, you will find a sense of recognition with me. I am also available to work with couples, including those navigating alternative relationship structures. I am passionate about helping you explore an authentic expression of who you are in the world.
My previous training also prepares me to support family members of those with acute mental health challenges as they navigate the emotional and logistical demands of difficult-to-understand diagnoses, or those navigating mental health conditions of their own.
