I am an Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a B.S. in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. in counseling from Waynesburg University. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and families. I specialize in person-centered counseling and I enjoy working with transitional aged clients (adolescents and early adulthood), as well as all life stages, focusing on how to best work through the challenges that life and unexpected change can throw at us. I have experience working with mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, anxiety and depression.
My treatment often includes Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to best meet client’s needs, acknowledging that everyone is different. I aim to meet clients where they are at and build from there.
I view treatment as a process where a counselor helps a client achieve desired mental health status by promoting their well-being and growth through strengths and experiences. I encourage clients to be an active participant in treatment and speak openly about goals. I believe that each person can make a true change their life, sometimes we just need help!
