Sometimes we are looking for someone to hold the hope for us. Throughout my life, I have been drawn to the story; the lore of identity, the narrative of families, the truth inside the metaphor. I feel it is of the upmost importance to provide people with a safe space to share their truth, a place to be honest and seen while challenging the stories we tell ourselves. As a person, I hope to be a lantern that can help to illuminate the way for you to reclaim your story. As a therapist, I received my bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Columbia International University in 2012 followed by my master’s in clinical counseling in 2016;
after which I worked in high-acuity inpatient treatment centers for five years. Within this work I focused on acute and chronic eating disorder recovery; and I specialize in disordered eating and follow a HAES model to support restoration of internal beliefs around the complexity of body image and maladaptive coping through disordered eating.
I have a true heart for supporting sexual trauma victims in finding their voice, while reclaiming and rebuilding their story and will show up with complete compassion and authenticity. As a trauma therapist first, I believe in working with many clinical approaches to find what is best for your healing.
