Starting therapy can feel like the first step in a long run. As we take the first strides, the nerves relax a little and we begin the slow cadence of deep breathing as we focus on our next steps. You may decide to speed up then notice some aches & pains. Rather than “pushing through it”, you can slow down and maybe even decide to stretch & drink some water, knowing you can come back stronger. Once you feel more balanced, you reengage. Feeling more confident each mile you ease into. Much like a long run, therapy seems daunting at first yet is beyond rewarding long term.
I operate from an Attachment orientation approach paired with a narrative mindset. I specialize in working with high achieving individuals with significant attachment wounds, family trauma, and living with personality and/ or mood disorders. As a doctor of thoughts and feelings, my goal is to express care & encourage growth in all my client relationships.
As your therapist, I do not ever "get" to know things about you. Rather, it is my job from day 1 together to consistently gain your trust and show that I am deserving of it and a safe place.
