I enjoy working with teens and adults, providing support around life transitions, identity issues, and creating and maintaining healthy family, peer, and romantic relationships. I help clients navigate feelings of ambivalence, self doubt, and anxiety, and together we explore new approaches when old methods of managing personal problems aren't working. I have clinical experience with non-traditionally structured families, and am familiar with the unique circumstances of formal and informal adoption and foster care arrangements, LGBTQ families, divorce, blended families, and adults who were adopted or fostered as children.
Through my training, and personal and professional experience, I have developed an approach that is genuine, non-judgmental, flexible, and personalized. My style is supportive and direct, and infused with humor and personality. I am relationally oriented, and also use skills-based techniques when indicated, especially for anxiety and overwhelming emotions.
