As a counselor I strive to make therapy a collaborative and empowering experience that helps clients to reach their individual goals and lead fulfilling lives. My clients and I work together to implement strategies that help them cope with life's challenges and find balance. I am passionate about helping people recognize their worth and build self-compassion and self-esteem. In therapy I focus on assisting my clients in identifying and modifying beliefs and behaviors that are hindering their mental and emotional wellness.
I work with clients of all ages who are seeking support for a variety of reasons including ADHD, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, body image and identity exploration. I primarily utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework, while integrating skills and concepts from other modalities to best fit each client's needs.
Beginning therapy can be very intimidating, which is why I start by building authentic connections with clients and view our relationship as the foundation of our work in sessions. I strive to create a safe and affirming therapeutic space that is based on mutual respect, and work to empower clients to identify and utilize their strengths in the work we do.
