My clients don’t always realize their symptoms are related to trauma. They usually say something like: “I’m exhausted. I’m tired of living in survival mode and cycling between anxious and exhausted. I feel disconnected from myself and my relationships, and sometimes I feel unloveable. I've talked about it in therapy but not much has really changed." If this sounds like you, you're in the right place. To help people heal from their past, I use tools that go beyond talk therapy and really address the subconscious, the body, and the nervous system- starting with learning how to feel safe and present in your body again.
The main tools I use are EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS (or parts work), mindfulness, and mapping out your individual nervous system states so you can learn to effectively regulate. I also use mind-body science to address mental health from a holistic view, including movement, sleep, nutrition, nature, and connection.
In my free time you can find me snowboarding, making pottery, nerding out about psychology research, or crashing on my mountain bike.
