There are many reasons one might seek therapy. Some look for help when they are feeling overwhelmed by events in their lives, such as the end of an important relationship or a challenging medical diagnosis. Others come because they have a persistent sense of suffering they do not fully understand or that has been difficult to resolve. If you feel you are not living your life as fully as you would like, or if you are dissatisfied, stressed, or unhappy, it is worth understanding and addressing.
During sessions, I take a warm and curious approach while encouraging reflection and exploration. I seek to help people understand themselves more fully, especially their own unique ways of feeling, thinking, and relating. It is my hope that conversations in therapy will open up new possibilities for a satisfying and meaningful life.
Talking about how you feel in therapy can be an important part of feeling better and living more meaningfully; however, searching for a therapist can feel intimidating and overwhelming. If you are curious at all, I invite you to reach out to me. I would be happy to have a conversation with you about how I might be able to help.
