I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with almost 10 years of experience in the Mental Health field. I am also an Addiction Specialist Associate. My approach to counseling is to listen with empathy, empower you, and be solution-oriented and supportive as you work toward your goals. At our first visit, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and explain your reasons for therapy. I will be there to listen to you, support you, and help develop ways we can work together to achieve positive outcomes in your life.
I take a non-judgmental stance in therapy, creating a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings. I like solution-focused brief therapy because I believe that it starts with a plan and goals to achieve an outcome in therapy. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in therapy.
The clients that I best serve are ready to make changes in their lives, ready to work through challenges, and are willing to explore ways to improve in the areas that they are struggling within.
