Therapy is about learning more about the self and figuring out what needs to be different, and having an objective viewpoint can be very helpful in this process. To address symptoms that are impairing the ability to function on a daily basis or causing interference in creating connections with others is a vital part of therapeutic interventions.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help individuals realize the power of their own thoughts and to develop the skills to challenge any negative self-perceptions; dialectical behavioral therapy to assist individuals in letting go of judgment and embracing acceptance; and EMDR to enable healing from past experiences and calming the automatic responses
I will meet you where you are emotionally and cognitively, and work with you to challenge faulty thinking so that you may experience emotional freedom.
