About
Do you need support navigating through the many stages, changes and challenges of your child's development? I am passionate about supporting children, teens and families navigate through the challenges of their social/emotional development. My background in mental health and early childhood education allows me to help children and teens who struggle with anxiety, self-regulation, anger, depression, special needs, challenging behavior, self-esteem issues, and trauma. I use play therapy to help children express their needs and resolve their challenges when words are difficult. Play therapy is a child's natural way of communicating.
I have a Masters in Counseling Marriage Family and Child Therapy and a Bachelors in Human Services. I am a Certified Positive Discipline Parent and Classroom Educator. I am a Registered Play Therapist. I am also a child development instructor at a local technical college and have many years of experience teaching preschool.
I look forward to supporting your child and family acquire new skills and tools to help you build a relationship of mutual respect, effective communication, encouragement, and growth in the areas important to your life.
