| Español I enjoy working with a variety of people, especially those that are ambivalent about therapy. I understand that therapy is an extremely difficult process and stigmatized for many of those around us, but developing a strong therapeutic relationship can assist in providing a positive experience during a difficult time. I like to identify the root of the problem quickly and together find solutions that will work for your life. I believe together we can work towards building insight, understanding yourself and your choices, develop positive coping skills, increased communication and healthy relationships.
As a bilingual, Spanish and English, speaking therapist I enjoy working with children/adolescents, parents, couples and multigenerational families. For the last few years I have worked with individuals in intimate partner violent relationships, domestic violence, past and recent traumas and adult men and women.
As a bi-cultural, certified Trauma-Focused CBT, licensed clinician with a doctorate in marriage and family therapy, I tend to work in an eclectic manner and believe the best way to produce change is by creating a safe and contained environment. A safe therapeutic relationship includes having a trusting and non-judgmental relationship with your therapist.
