My approach to psychological healing is integrative, mixing psychodynamic, mind/body, transpersonal, mindfulness, and CBT approaches to psychotherapy. My philosophy of therapy stresses respect for the client and the client’s experience. Therapy often involves the exploration of family of origin issues and the impact of old conditioning on current functioning. I also emphasize the importance of developing existing personal strengths and resources. I often use a personality system called the Enneagram to clarify client strengths and issues. I specialize in treating grief and have received advanced training from The Center for Complicated Grief at Columbia University. My expertise in mindfulness includes a personal meditation practice for 25 years and attendance of over 25 mindfulness retreats. I have expertise in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and I do Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
My approach to therapy is unique in that it prioritizes the importance of developing self-compassion and a larger, more spacious perspective on life. I enjoy working with spiritual/existential issues in people of all faiths. I have over 30 years experience. I do Teletherapy, using GoToMeeting, a HIPPA-compliant platform that protects your privacy.
