Hello!! Thank you for stopping by my profile. I provide therapy to older adolescents and adults. My specialized training and treatment focus is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harm. These types of therapies focus on teaching skills to manage overwhelming emotions and behaviors you would like to change. While making changes is important, my practice is heavily influenced by mindfulness, acceptance and compassion.
My counseling style is non-judgmental, client-centered and trauma-informed. I pride myself on working with people of diverse backgrounds in a culturally affirming manner. Making sure you feel safe is very important to me in the therapeutic relationship.
