My style is one that primarily focuses on empathy and insight. Though talking about issues that come up in therapy may initially be difficult, with time you will notice you are seeing yourself in a new light, and that you are able to accomplish positive change.
My training has allowed me to utilize many different therapeutic modalities, such as psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive-behavioral. I hope to tailor treatment to your specific needs, depending on if you come to therapy with a specific problem or symptom, or if you would prefer to gain insight into your behavior through long-term work.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults who are suffering from mood disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, body image/eating issues, struggles related to sexuality, family conflict, substance abuse and grief.
