As a therapist, I am experienced and passionate about working with individuals with anxiety, depression, interpersonal and internal conflict, faith and spiritual matters, grief, and cultural issues.
Desiring connection with others? Struggling to see yourself in a positive light? In my personal and professional life, I feel a natural inclination to connect with and help others. I've had many meaningful experiences of need and brokenness in my own life, in which I have been genuinely touched by others that have come alongside me as agents of healing and strength. This sparked my desire to come alongside others and to help them develop a healthy view of themselves and positive attitudes that promote striving toward one's goals and cultivating healthy relationships.

Courage can be defined as strength in the face of pain or grief.
Therapy is hard work and I believe a partnership is required for positive outcomes to be achieved. You see, as engaged and motivated as I may be to help you succeed your buy-in is absolutely necessary in order for change to occur. I'm looking for clients who are seeking a different tomorrow and are ready to take steps to make it happen. This means being an active participant in therapy, being willing to face challenging conversations, making changes that may not feel so great in the moment, and doing work outside the session to make changes stick.

I have a background in mindful movement, trauma and grief counseling with training in EMDR and Trauma Focused CBT.
I help folks let go of "perfect" and heal from anxiety, trauma, and body image issues. There's more to life than constantly trying to measure up, worrying about the next bad thing, and obsessing about food rules. Many of my clients find themselves caught in the cycle of binge eating, restriction, over exercise, and/or body criticism. Sometimes they also struggle with anxiety or have a complex past that keeps them stuck. Imagine feeling at ease, able to enjoy deeper relationships, confident in your skin, and freedom from food freakouts. I'd love to help you ditch the chaos to feel more at home in your body and mind.

Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, stress, grief/loss, relationship communication and intimacy, work/life transitions, and issues surrounding obesity, PCOS, and other infertility concerns.
Is Covid-19 bumming you out? Are you feeling more anxious, on-edge, and stressed out than usual? Do you wish you could speak with someone who just listens without judgment or criticism? On the rollercoaster of life it can be easy to lose your way, feel out of control, disconnected from loved ones, and have a difficult time coping. So often difficulties and struggles weigh us down and can lead to problematic patterns that keep us feeling "stuck" and unable to live a full life. When working through these struggles on your own, you may find you need some extra guidance outside of your support system.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults confronting grief, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, life transitions, spiritual concerns, and many other mental health challenges and stressors.
If you are facing very real stressors such as family conflict, childhood trauma, feeling unsafe during the pandemic, or losing a job you may feel “stuck on high” and feeling anxious or “stuck on low” and feeling down and depressed. I firmly believe that the body wants to find equilibrium, and I think my role as a therapist is to help you more fully connect with yourself in your body and deeply held sense of who you are at your core so that you can tackle whatever brings you to therapy. I appreciate the depth of the mind-body connection and integrate that connection into therapy using a variety of evidence-based approaches.

Specifically, I work with those who experience generalized anxiety, social anxiety, complex or relational trauma, and anxiety caused by circumstances, such as acute or chronic illness, injury, life transition, loss, relationship difficulties, and social isolation. I help people understand the ways in which anxiety limits their lives. Since chronic anxiety often leads to depressive symptoms, I treat that as well.

My counseling practice is tailored to working with adults with issues including relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting issues, life stressors and transitions, and spiritual crises. It can be difficult finding the "right fit" in a counselor and I am available to discuss my approach more fully and answer questions prior to the first appointment. For individual issues I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach which has proven to be highly effective in a reasonable time frame. In couples counseling I work quickly to identify areas where couples get "stuck" and identify practical tools that have been proven effective.
