I have worked in the mental health field for 21 years in a variety of capacities including children, adults and alcohol and drug treatment. I think it's important to identify and build on an individual's strengths. I most often use, but not limited to, CBT, EMDR and Mindfulness treatment modalities to assist in regaining balance in life.
