My ideal client has clear, agreed upon goals and is ready to make transformations in their life and their experience; someone who is ready to do the work to find relief from suffering, not just learning to tolerate suffering. I use innovative approaches to find what works for you to make a change. I consider it an honor to walk with people on their life journey if even for only 45 minutes once a week for some time. You are not alone, with help you will be well again.

Job loss. A car accident. Dissatisfaction with life. The death of a loved one. Challenges such as these can greatly impact many areas of one's life. Although these challenges may be a process of life, this may cause individuals to feel "stuck," not themselves, or hopeless. Whether you are going through a difficult period or need someone to lend an ear, together we can tackle anxiety, trauma, depression, and life transitions.

I can address anxiety at any point-feeling stuck and difficulty making decisions, pregnancy/parenting, a high stress job, a health diagnosis, the current political climate, feelings of failure, chaotic or anxious relationships, loss or trauma, or unexplained frequent worry.
It's more than worrying. It's more than stress. Anxiety is getting in your way-affecting you at work, at school, or in your relationships. Racing or obsessive thoughts may make it next to impossible to focus or be present in your life. These feelings may cause you to avoid things you love, make you fear your own thoughts, or get in the way of healthy relationships. Your anxiety may cause physical symptoms or a general sense of doom or unease. This can be frustrating or absolutely terrifying. With empathy, honesty, a sense of humor, and respect, I can help you be free of fear!

You may no longer connect with others the way you used to and keep friends and family at a distance. The Pandemic may have increased your anxiety and depression and you are uncertain where to begin. Your worry and fear come out as: anger, sadness and controlling behaviors, due to questioning your worth and self esteem. Will I ever feel truly happy? Will I feel truly loved? Will I find my life path and the career that makes my soul soar? Will I learn to forgive?

When I was experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss, I had encountered some lonely places.
Every individual and couple have a right to their own "reproductive story." Their individualized vision of what their family could look like. Unfortunately, family building does not come easily for every person. Primary, secondary and social infertility as well as pregnancy loss can threaten one's dreams of building their family and lead to reproductive trauma. I am committed to helping others heal from this trauma and in building a new story for their family.

This world can be a challenging and unforgiving place. I want to invite you into a space of safety and healing without stigma or judgment. It is important to be heard and understood. I come from a trauma informed approach which simply means I understand how the past can shape our present. I provide services to an array of beautiful souls that may have survived abuse, tragedy, grief, or loss. If you have made it this far, then that means you are a survivor. I want to help you transition into a place of balance and hope.

I’m here to facilitate you truly seeing the courage and strength inside. Cultivate calm- it may be easier than you think!

My specializations include trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and loss; I also provide EMDR therapy.
Seeking therapy is an invaluable investment in oneself, and I believe it is my job as a therapist to empower clients to find and live their own paths and truths. The path to healing begins with a trusting and accepting therapist-client relationship; I provide a space that recognizes and centers the unique strengths, values, and lived experiences of each individual, and I seek to partner with clients to best meet their needs. Respecting client self-determination is fundamental to my practice, which is grounded in cultural humility and recognizing the ways in which our values and identities form the many facets of who we are.

Hard times happen to us all. When we are carrying the weight of a loss, trying to manage the persistent distress of anxiety or depression, or going through a difficult time of life, it can feel like we are all alone. When the difficult days seem to overshadow the positive aspects of our lives, it can be a relief to know that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. These are the times we need support, today more than ever.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
