Sometimes getting away from an office is the best way to open yourself to change. When you feel stuck, as though you only go through the motions of the day, due to trauma and grief, spending time with horses (on the ground) and other animals is what is needed to get 'unstuck'. With specialty in grief recovery, I offer my horses and their intuitive nature to help clients make changes and get 'unstuck' in a safe, relaxed, peaceful setting. I also offer traditional therapy. We can sit in the quaint little office in the woods, take a walk through the trees or hang out with the animals; whatever you need on any particular day.
Once said, "When I'm sitting in a four walled office and put my stuff out there, it bounces off the wall and jumps back on me. But out here, when I give it to the horses, they do something with it. It's not mine anymore. That's what's different about equine therapy."
Grief and trauma often cause people to solely exist rather than live. Horses, other animals and nature find the way into a person's sole to help heal from the inside out.
