I specialize in counseling children ages 5–12 and their families, creating a safe, supportive environment where both verbal and nonverbal expression are welcomed. Through conversation, play, and creative approaches, I help children identify, understand, and process difficult feelings connected to bereavement, grief, loss, transitions and changes in family dynamics. In session we focus on understanding the function of children's behavioral changes; emotional expression and regulation; family support and communication; addressing cognitive functioning which impacts academic performance.
I create space for your child’s voice when expressed through words, play, or silence; remain fully present, noticing the small shifts in emotion, behavior, and energy that tell us what a child may not yet be able to say and respond with care, empathy, and understanding so they feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions or thoughts.
You and your child don’t have to go through this alone. At the heart of my work is the belief that children heal through safe, attuned relationships.
