About
I am a fully Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works collaboratively with clients to treat a variety of emotional and psychological problems. In my individual and group therapy practices I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing emotional distress. My specific area of specialization is treating anxiety and depression which can manifest itself in many ways including relationship/interpersonal problems, and school/professional problems. In my practice therapy is a collaborative process between myself and the client. Through the process of therapy I use a variety of Evidence Based Therapies (EBTs) to decrease symptoms, elevate mood, and increase functioning.
The interventions I use have scientifically demonstrated effectiveness in treating emotional and psychological problems. In our sessions a client can expect a confidential and empathic environment to voice difficulties and learn new ways of coping.
Through examining a client's thoughts, behaviors, and emotions a client will better understand what causes their distress and learn alternative ways of coping. Sessions also involve increasing the client's knowledge base of the specific disorder to gain insight and to ultimately change their outlook.
