Hi! My name is Gretchen Faust, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in the state of Utah. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in working with those with personality disorders, depression and anxiety. I am flexible in my therapeutic approach based on the needs of my clients. I believe that all people are doing the best they can in each moment, but also want to improve themselves. I used a strength-based approach and utilize dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavior therapy. I also used EMDR with those suffering from trauma.
I am comfortable working with clients with most diagnosis and backgrounds. I have experience conducting dialectical behavior therapy groups which is beneficial for clients with borderline personality disorder, depression, and anxiety.
I believe in the power of therapy. I have benefitted from it throughout periods of my life and hope to be able to hold that space for other people. I believe being a therapist is an incredible privilege. I am so thankful for my clients (previous and future) who have trusted me with their stories and struggles.
