My name is Greg Owens and I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In the spirit of lasting, meaningful, positive change, I provide short and long term psychotherapy for adolescents, teenagers, and adults who are willing to take that first step. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Utica College, and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University.
My specialties include, but are not limited to the following: anger management, oppositional defiance, conduct disorder, anxiety, depression, domestic/partner violence, grief counseling, impulsive behavior, and relationship problems. I also offer evaluations and treatment for those who may be mandated by the criminal/family court system, or parole/probation.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy, however, my training in Family Systems, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Forensic Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing ensure that your individual needs can be met. I offer a safe, respectful, non-judgmental environment for your comfort as you begin your journey.
