Counseling is weird. You hang out in an office with a stranger who looks like a cozy accountant, there's some real talk about your personal problems, then money changes hands. I've been on both sides of this, so I get it. But maybe it's okay if this sort of thing is a little different, a little weird. My whole thing is about getting you unstuck, and that only happens with a change of perspective. Thinking differently. Acting differently.

But it's not as easy as that, right? You can read all the books, watch all the videos, try meditation and exercise and no blue light after 8PM, but not find the kind of change you're looking for. So you pretend to be okay when you don’t feel okay. How awesome would it feel to finally discover that missing puzzle piece, to actually start being okay again?

I'm also a little weird. But I specialize in getting people unstuck so it's all part of the plan. I use acceptance-based counseling to gently introduce brand new ways of thinking and living. And for the more adventurous I offer geeky RPG inspired exercises for self-exploration, like character building and interactive RPG journaling. Whatever gets you there.
