I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have been counseling for 15 years and have worked with clients with many different life concerns including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, trauma, relationship issues, family conflicts and life changes just to name a few. I am a firm believer in a client centered approach. The client is in the “driver’s seat” when it comes to their therapy. I approach every client with unconditional positive regard and my office/video screen is ALWAYS a judgement free zone.
During our first session we will begin the process of getting to know each other to build therapeutic rapport. It is always my desire at our first meeting to find out where a new client is in their life, talk about where they want to go with their life, and work together to develop a road map to enable them to get there.
I hold unconditional positive regard for my clients and a deep empathy for their experiences. I’m very rarely shocked by what is brought up in session, and I cherish the connection developed between therapist and patient. I’ll keep it real with you as compassionately and directly as I can.
